The Magic Button ("we", "us") is a developer tool that detects, patches, and verifies UEFN Verse code. This page explains what we collect, why, and what stays on your machine.
To fix your Verse code, our server sends it, together with its compiler errors, to Google's Gemini AI, which writes the fix. If Gemini is unavailable, a simpler rule engine on our server is used instead. Google handles what it receives under its Gemini API terms, which can include using it to improve Google's products, so don't leave passwords or API keys in code you submit. We never use your code to train models ourselves.
We do keep a copy of your before/after code in your Fix History, so the automatic-backup and 1-click-rollback features work; that's stored on our server until you delete it or your account. It is not used for training and is not shared with third parties.
If you choose to connect your own OpenAI or Gemini API key in Settings, our server uses that key to call the provider on your behalf. The request passes through our server rather than going directly from your browser to theirs, and is subject to that provider's own terms for how they handle it. The same before/after code retention in your Fix History described above applies to these fixes too.
We use your browser's local storage to remember your session, language, and theme preference. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
All payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded (and the email you paid with) so we can activate your plan; we never receive or store your card details.
Account and usage records are kept for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for billing and support records. You can request deletion at any time; see section 7.
Only the service providers required to run The Magic Button: Google (sign-in, and the Gemini AI that writes fixes), Stripe (payments), Render and Neon (hosting and database), and, if you connect your own key, the AI provider you chose. We don't sell your data.
You can ask us to access, export, or delete your account data at any time by emailing hello@opstudios.net. We'll respond within a reasonable time.
The Magic Button isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify signed-in users.
